Brooks-Newell

2024 Annual Report

As we forge a path forward, we are excited to announce the expansion of our Chamber's boundaries to include the Brooks-Newell region. This strategic growth allows us to extend our support, advocacy, and resources to an even broader community of businesses, ensuring that the dynamic and diverse needs of this area are met. By integrating Brooks-Newell into our Chamber, we are not only expanding our reach but also deepening our commitment to fostering economic growth and collaboration across Southeast Alberta. We are eager to build new partnerships, host impactful events, and create opportunities for businesses in Bassano, Brooks, County of Newell, Duchess and Rosemary to thrive. Together, we are forging a unified path forward, strengthening our region's business community, and paving the way for shared success in this new chapter.

Brooks-Newell Area Tour

In April 2024 the Mayor Petrie and the City of Brooks gave the Chamber team and board of directors a tour of the Brooks-Newell area. We also met with the Silver Sage Ag Society and got a run down of their history.

Stops on the tour included County of Newell, the Centennial Regional Arena, the Brooks College Campus, the Aqueduct "River of the Sky", the Public Library, the JBS Canada Center, the Crop Diversification Centre, Heritage Inn, the MCF Feedlots, Downtown, the Silver Sage Riding Arena, and the Brooks City Hall!

JBS Food Canada Tour

In May 2024, some of the Chamber team and board members went on a very informative and interesting tour of the JBS Canada Plant in Brooks, AB.

We walked through almost every stage of the processing plant, had the opportunity to listen to a presentation about their history, values and stats, and were spoiled with a steak lunch after.

Testimonials

"After being involved with the Chamber of Commerce for 7 years in Medicine Hat while managing a local business there, the Chamber and its staff were over the top spectacular in helping with every aspect of our business. When I was informed that the Chamber was going to extend to the Brooks area with the new Southeast Alberta Chamber, I could not sign up as a member fast enough. They are always there to support and help in marketing my business and giving me all the benefits for us as a small business. My experience with this Chamber has been nothing short of a Disneyland experience!!!"
