Support the 2026 Special Olympics
We Shine Together:
Supporting the Games and Sharing the Word!
The 2026 Special Olympics Summer Games are happening in Medicine Hat from August 11th - 15th, 2026 - are you ready? The theme for the games is "We Shine Together" and with that, we want to ensure you have some resources as we prepare for the impact of the games in our region next week!
If you are curious about the schedule of the games, what sports are being played, volunteer opportunities available, etc. then you can visit the Special Olympics website here: https://www.socmedhat2026.ca/. You can also stay up to date by checking out the Special Olympics Medicine Hat Facebook profile.
There is a Google Drive folder where we have posters and social media content if you would like to help spread the awareness and support for the Games.
There are two posters - each design comes in English and French. One is for if you would like to offer a discount, present or offer to the athletes, ambassadors, and those visiting Medicine Hat for the Summer Games! The other poster is the QR code and motto if you would like to showcase general support.
If you plan to post on social media using the graphics provided in the kit, we encourage you to post both the English and French versions together. This is a recommendation - not mandatory.
We encourage you to hang a poster in your window or on your store, and post about anything you may be offering during this exciting week! Share the word and get ready.
If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out. Remember - We Shine Together!
